ANAEROBIC TREATMENT using the ADOS process (Anaerobic Digestion of Organic Slurry):
The name of the process highlights its special characteristic:
the ADOS process is positioned exactly between the so-called “wet” and “dry” digestion processes.
It is used with dry substance contents of 12-18%, which allows exploiting the benefits of both procedures.
Advantages:

Process description:
Feedstock: organic waste from households, restaurants, canteens, agriculture, industry.
Concentration of organic portion, separation of recyclables and contaminants in a mechanical processing plant.
Size reduction of organic solids and separation of inert materials and plastics in the so-called “ADOS mill”, a patented wet mill.
The output product is slurry. This slurry is moved to a buffer container and from there is fed continuously into a digester. The decomposition and degradation processes take place at a temperature of 52 degrees Celsius.
The finished material is pumped from the digester, dewatered and mixed with bulking agent.
Typical end products from 1 ton of food scraps:
175 kg high-quality COMPOST
130-180 kWh heat
172 kWh electric power , of which 143 KWh can be fed into the grid.
